Cleaners - Casual

Recreational Services is a leading facilities contracting company that is currently seeking cleaners to perform commercial cleaning functions as part of our Auckland North Facilities contract team.

We are on the lookout for local applicants who can start immediately and can commit to working variable hours, especially weekends and to cover public holidays. These roles are based at Whangateau and Martins Bay Holiday Parks and the core work hours are 8am-3pm. Duties include the daily cleaning and maintenance of amenities and overnight accommodation.

You will be reliable and focused on quality standards and hold a current full driver's licence.

Machine Operator

Recreational Services provides specialist maintenance and management services of parks and recreational spaces throughout various parts of New Zealand.

We're currently seeking a permanent Machine Operator to join our Sportsfields Construction team. Duties will involve but are not limited to, heavy transport and tractor work, golf course and sportsfield renovations and constructions, mowing, irrigation and associated construction based tasks.

To be successful the applicant will:

  • Have experience in like work preferably with a Sports Turf qualification
  • The ability to work away from Auckland when required
  • A strong attention to detail, with the desire to go that extra mile to get the job done
  • Ability to work within a team and independently
  • Hold a full car and a minimum of Class 2 heavy Traffic Licence (preference will be given to Class 4 and 5 holders)

You will be reliable, hardworking, have a passion for turf and produce quality work that is consistent, neat and accurate.

Response Operator

Recreational Services provides specialist maintenance and management services of parks and recreational spaces across regions of New Zealand. We are fully committed to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, while caring for our people, clients and communities.

The Response Operator position, based out of Silverdale, is set up to respond to projects and daily call outs for repair of asset maintenance. The work is varied and applicants will need a background in the building industry.

Successful applicants will have:

  • A mature outlook, be reliable, with a strong desire to get the job done
  • An organised approach to co-ordinating their workload
  • The flexibility to work with a variable roster with the requirement to be on call
  • A current driver's licence and preferably Class 2 HT

Team Manager - Landscape Construction Projects

Do you have a background in hard landscaping, construction and project management as well as a passion for providing outstanding levels of service?

Recreational Services provides specialist maintenance and management services of parks and recreational spaces throughout various parts of New Zealand. We are fully committed to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, while caring for our people, clients and communities.

Due to expansion we have a newly created position, working primarily with our client, Auckland Council. This position requires a highly organised and self-motivated project manager, who will deliver on landscaping construction, pricing and tendering for a wide range of project works. You will also take full ownership in the co-ordination and implementation of an eight man landscaping team to ensure project completion within specifications.

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Pricing and assisting with tender submission
  • Project management of landscaping and construction work from plans to completion
  • Ensuring legal and company compliance with health and safety, consents and building standards
  • Managing a team to ensure contract standards and deadlines are met

Successful applicants will have previous experience or be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A proven work history in landscaping construction and project management
  • Able to manage a team of landscaping and construction members
  • The ability to price and quote on hard landscaping, tenders and days works projects
  • Able to read detailed construction plans and project manage them to completion
  • Understanding of the council consent processes and legal H&S requirements
  • Experienced in working with MS Office packages and various databases
  • The ability to co-ordinate and implement response related tasks to meet priorities
  • Be able to communicate effectively with a broad range of people and key stakeholders

Mower Operators

Water Blaster Operator

Our Auckland North Assets team has a fantastic opportunity for you to join their water blasting team! This role is full time permanent and involves the cleaning of boat ramps and sea walls around our main beaches and also general maintenance, handyman duties and rubbish collection.
