Mower Operators

We currently have great opportunities for Mower Operators who thrive in a positive and friendly environment and will be tasked with looking after the key functions required as part of our Auckland based contract. We have two available roles one based from our North Shore depot and one based in Huapai/Helensville area, these roles involve mowing, rubbish maintenance and any other related duties.

 

Successful applicants will:

·         Be reliable and committed to being part of a wider team with strong work ethics

·         Hold a minimum of a NZ full driver’s licence (Heavy traffic licence required for mowing applications)

Cleaners- Casual

Recreational Services is a leading parks facilities contracting company that is currently seeking casual cleaners to look after the cleaning functions, as part of our Auckland North Facilities contract team. 

We are on the lookout for local applicants who can start immediately and can commit to working variable hours (includes weekends and public holidays) with early morning starts.  These roles are based out of the Whangateau and Martins Bay Holiday Parks.  Duties include the daily cleaning and maintenance of toilet facilities.

You will be reliable and focused on quality standards, and hold a current full driver's licence.

Edger

We’re currently seeking a permanent full-time Edger to join our Auckland North Mowing team, based out of Wellsford.  This position involves edging our parks and reserves which form part of our Auckland based contract.

This role will involve, edging, rubbish maintenance and any other related duties.

Gardener /Trainee Gardener

We have great permanent full-time opportunity for a Trainee Gardener, Gardener or labourer who want to join our Auckland North Horticulture team and utilize their current knowledge and experience or develop in the field of Horticulture.  These positions will be based at both the North Shore depot and Silverdale depots.

You'll love hard physical work, getting stuck in and working with the elements so a good physical fitness is essential. Using a wide range of horticultural equipment you will be tasked with general garden maintenance duties which will include plant identification, plant layout, planting, pruning, spraying, weed control and rubbish collection.  A current driver’s licence is preferred.

Horticulturalist - soft and hard landscaping

Due to expansion we have a newly created position, working primarily with our client, Auckland Council. This position requires a highly organised and self-motivated horticulturalist for experienced landscaper, who will deliver on projects.

Reporting to the Project Team Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring a high standard of horticultural hard and soft landscaping work that meets contract requirements
  • Compliance with legal and company health and safety standards
  • Assisting with other task as need requires

Successful applicants will have previous experience or be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A proven work history in horticulture and/or hard/soft landscaping and/or turf maintenance
  • Will hold a driver's licence - preferably has HT Class 2
  • Be able to communicate effectively with a broad range of people and key stakeholders

Machine Operator

Recreational Services provides specialist maintenance and management services of parks and recreational spaces throughout various parts of New Zealand.

We're currently seeking a permanent Machine Operator to join our Sportsfields Construction team. Duties will involve but are not limited to, heavy transport and tractor work, golf course and sportsfield renovations and constructions, mowing, irrigation and associated construction based tasks.

To be successful the applicant will:

  • Have experience in like work preferably with a Sports Turf qualification
  • The ability to work away from Auckland when required
  • A strong attention to detail, with the desire to go that extra mile to get the job done
  • Ability to work within a team and independently
  • Hold a full car and a minimum of Class 2 heavy Traffic Licence (preference will be given to Class 4 and 5 holders)

You will be reliable, hardworking, have a passion for turf and produce quality work that is consistent, neat and accurate.

Concreter/Builder

Due to expansion we have a newly created position, working primarily with our client, Auckland Council. The position require a highly organised and self-motivated concrete expert who can also lend a hand to hard landscaping projects.

Reporting to the Project Team Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Site preparation, sourcing and laying concrete in hard landscaping projects
  • Compliance with legal and company health and safety standards
  • Assisting with other landscaping construction roles as needed

Successful applicants will have previous experience or be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A proven work history in taking responsibility for all tasks involved in concreting
  • Will hold a full drivers
  • Be able to communicate effectively with a broad range of people and key stakeholders
  • Desire to achieve deadlines and exceed client expectations
