Community BBQ Truck

Our brand new, custom-designed BBQ Truck, is here and available free to approved groups for community events.

The BBQ Truck joins our trusty BBQ Trailer which has proven so popular it could hardly keep up with demand. So, in keeping with their commitment to local communities, the company Directors decided to commission another one. But this time around it was decided to make it a fully mobile unit by converting a truck.

Two of our Director’s, Paul Broom & Brett Turner, took the project to heart and really made it their own - spending many happy hours working on the design and supervising its production.

“Families, communities, and recreation have always been close to our hearts” says Brett “so providing these BBQ units is a natural extension of what we are about and we take great pleasure in making them available for community events”. 

The truck had its first outing at the annual Blue Light Golf Tournament, held recently at the Takapuna Golf Course.  Super-chef Clive Turner put it through its paces that day and gave it the thumbs up. Booking enquiries to Diana Hinton (09) 441 9803 or dhinton@recreationalservices.co.nz 

As ‘employed parks custodians’, we enjoy regular professional interaction with the public, and make the most of any chance to volunteer our support and resources to the community.

Each year we provide sponsorship to junior sports teams and clubs. We also provide our free BBQ trailer, marquee and trucks for various community events.
